How to build a circulair strategy based on data
Many regions have circular economy strategies; few succeed in turning them into systemic change. Learn how Friesland has used data, collaboration and long-term governance to move from insight to action, and gain practical lessons that can be applied in your own region or organization.
On an international scale
This event/webinar is an accelerator session at the World Circular Economy Forum 2026. In its tenth edition, WCEF will position India at the forefront of scalable circular economy solutions for a resource-constrained world. Building on the direction set by previous forums, WCEF2026 serves as a platform for accelerating market transformation, demonstrating how circular solutions reshape value chains, strategies and competitive advantage at scale.

Exchanging knowledge with other regions
Our primary focus is on Friesland. At the same time, we recognize that the transition towards a circular economy must happen on a global scale. Therefore, we actively participate in international programmes and knowledge-sharing initiatives, including the Circular Alliance of Regions (CARe), to exchange experiences and best practices with partners both within and beyond Europe. Through this international collaboration, we help others avoid mistakes we have encountered and share solutions that can be adapted to different socio-cultural contexts, while at the same time learning from the experiences of others to further strengthen our own transition journey.
2025: 10 years of circular impact
In 2025, Friesland celebrated a decade of progress as one of Europe’s frontrunners in circularity. Circulair Friesland has played a big role in this transition, fostering collaboration between businesses, governments, and knowledge institutions to accelerate the shift towards a circular economy. Over the past ten years, Friesland has become a living lab for circular innovation, with pioneering projects in construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and more. Want to know the ins and outs?
